Birchbox senior editorial manager Beth has a beauty stash overflowing with fabulous products. As a beauty editor, she’s constantly testing the latest products out there, as well as returning to her classic favourites. Here’s her latest handful of star products, so you’ll know what’s worth spending your hard-earned cash on.

Editor Beth Squires Picks

The Origins Drink Up Mask is a beautiful apricot-scented mask which quickly rehydrates my skin within 10 minutes – perfect when my skin feels tight, dull and I need to do something about it fast. The scent is calming and gorgeous and I’ll use this all winter long – during central heating and bitterly cold weather – to top up the effects of the Akane Cocoon Nocturne Mask, which I use overnight once a week. These are winter skin savers!

I admit, I’ve been neglecting my eyes lately after I ran out of one of my favourite eye creams – Murad Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture for eyes. Not good! I’ve just picked up a new pot and I’m already seeing the difference – the hyaluronic acid, collagen support complex and osmolyte technology noticeably hydrate and firm the skin and generally make me look more awake. If I see myself in the mirror looking bright-eyed, I feel ready for anything – everyone’s a winner!

This limited edition Bobbi Brown Old Hollywood Lipstick had me rapt the second I saw it. The flashy retro gold packaging and the rich deep red colour made me take notice, but the moisturising long-lasting formulation ensures it’s a long-term love. Well, as long-term as a limited edition could possibly be…

If you’re after a fresh, slightly spicy and woody fragrance, you need to try English Laundry Signature For Her EDP. I was introduced to it a month ago and love enveloping myself in the subtly refreshing notes of quince, white chocolate, jasmine, orris root and musk. On days when my trusty Tom Ford Black Orchid scent feels a little heavy, I spritz this and go.

While I’m really careful about the products I use on my face, I’m a little more swayed by scent when it comes to my bodycare. As more clothing layers are piled on this winter, skin underneath can get dull and dry  – out of sight, out of mind! – but this Yes To Tomatoes Purifying Shower Gel changes all that. It’s 99% natural, cleanses gently but effectively, balances the pH levels and helps clear any excess oil, while watermelon’s fruity acids naturally exfoliate. Bonus: It smells sweet and lovely too!
